That was amazing. I'm glad that even an automotive magazines share my hatred for (ahem) frustration with (ahem) Rush Limbaugh. My world History teacher listens to him through the intercom at lunch. It's not having the greatest effect on his political ideology, which unfortunately is then transplanted into the minds of my less independently thinking classmates. When we were learning about Islam, and he was showing us a picture of a minaret on a mosque, he said-and I quote: "They look a bit like missiles to me." What the foolishness?!!!!!! They also look like towers on a castle, or pencils, or rocket ships, or anything long and pointy!!!! And I won't even go into the terrorism stuff he brought up during that unit. Has also made a few statements about his belief in public flogging, etc. But I sort of enjoy him as a sort of clown. He's like Stephen Colbert in character, but ALL THE TIME. None of his arguments stand up to reason, so I've saved my classmates from partisan indoctrination a couple times by challenging some of the facts he presents. He seems like one of those people who are basically good, just incapable of translating morals onto a larger, political canvas. Anyway. I very much appreciated that little smackdown.
