Okay, so Gabriele is the bad girl who tagged me with this game. Apparently I’m supposed to post eight facts about myself. I’ve never been able to back down from a challenge so here goes:

1.) I hate potatoes.
2.) I collect carousel horse figurines
3.) I’m scared of motorcycles and could never learn how to ride one
4.) When I listen to certain pieces of music it makes me cry (Violetta’s farewell to Alfredo in Act two of La Traviata for example.)
5.) My best friends have always been men.
6.) My favorite food is green chili
7.) I say the line of dialogue in a movie or tv show before the actor and I’m almost never wrong.
8.) I hate clutter.

Whew, that was actually rather hard. So Gabriele wanted me to head over to George’s blog and tag him. I wonder if he’ll play? :)

Seriously, that was an interesting exercise because it makes you pause and really think about yourself. The only other time you really do this is when you are just starting to date someone, and you’re offering each other these little insights.

    Gah!

We made you eat mashed potatoes!

    So sorry. :(

  2. Gabriele Campbell Says:

Thank you for playing along. :)

It’s nice to learn those tidbits about other people.

I can understand about the music; it happens to me, too. The final scene of Aida, for example. And I collect horse figurines as well, though not carousel ones. Should take a pic of them now I have that spiffy new camera.

Oh, Ty, don’t worry. They were very _good_ mashed potatoes, and I try not to be a pain about what I’ll eat. My feeling is, if you aren’t allergic shut up, and eat what you are offered. And the chicken was great, and the company — _fantastic_! :)

I’m surprised that there’s anything you’re afraid of, but motorcycles are a good self-preservation choice. Of course, they are less dangerous than horses, according to what I’ve heard a number of doctors say (I don’t believe it, as long as I’m wearing a helmet.)

Our house must drive you crazy. It drives me crazy.

  5. Melinda Says:

Wow, this meme is proving to be dangerous. :) I’ve managed to upset two friends. Yes, Chris, your house isn’t too my taste, but it’s _your_ house. Like food choices I don’t impose my likes and dislikes on other people. And it’s Len who is the big collector, right?

Chris is the lady who got me started collecting antique silverware. I had a lot of fun until I decided I needed to put those funds elsewhere. I would still love to find a fish server in my Wallace Violet pattern. That particular utensil is so beautiful.

    Hmm….

    1.) I loathe organ meats
2.) I cannot bear to get rid of books
3.) I’ve never gotten around to getting a driver’s license.
4.) Am powerfully affected by some bits of history.
5.) My best friends have always been women.
6.) Pork chops. Can’t get enough.
7.) I guess plots, and I’m right most of the time.
8.) I don’t _see_ clutter. I have to remind myself that other people do.

Fun exercise. I posted mine on my blog and “tagged” Walter Jon Williams and a friend from Canada, Kelly Robson.
