Hey, All,
My friend Daniel Abraham’s incredibly wonderful book A SHADOW IN SUMMER is now out in paperback. A BETRAYAL IN WINTER should also be on the stands within the week. I urge folks to pick up this series. Daniel is almost done with the final book of the quartet so you don’t have to worry that you’re investing in a series that will never actually finish.
Daniel is one of the best writers I know (and I know a lot of them). I wish I could be Daniel when I grow up.

Lol, the paperback of SHADOW IN SUMMER is paired up with THE LIES OF LOCKE LAMORRA on Amazon.de. I think they want to tell me something.
That’s evil, I have already overstepped my book budget for August with the hardcover of THE MASTER OF VERONA and another hardcover of German writer Rebecca Gable, DAS SPIEL DER KÖNIGE.
There is another book, also only avaliable as hardcover, ACACIA by David Anthony Durham. I know him from his book about Hannibal, THE PRIDE OF CARTHAGO and want to give Acacia a try some day - according to the reviews it’s quite different from your average Fantasy as well.

Heartily seconded. Daniel is _really_ a talent to watch. I’ve been able to watch him, and it’s been educational all ’round.
