Hi, folks. The cover is posted at my website. Just click on “covers” You can even read the great cover copy that my wonderful editor, Patrick Nielsen-Hayden wrote for the book, and my blurb from George R.R.

Wow. Excellent cover design, I think. Love the red being used, and the title really pops. In particularly, the ray of light and what looks like a lightning bolt cutting down behind the e’s of “Edge” really help pull the eyes down along the title. Smart design there.
Thanks, Elio for pointing out the slashes of light. I’m a true moron when it comes to analyzing a piece of visual art. I can’t say what makes a great painting or a great cover. I just like ‘em or I don’t. Rather like that Supreme Court justice who couldn’t define porn, but he knew it when by god knew it when he saw it. I know when Jamie brought the cover into Patrick’s office it stopped my breath.
That is indeed Doré. I think Jaime’s choice was brilliant. If you hire an artist you maybe get a picture of my sorceress/witch which really isn’t the point of the book.
As for best-sellerish. From your lips to… hmmm. Not really a quote I can use, eh? How about hold that lucky thought.
[…] other news, my pal Melinda has jpegs of her new cover for The Edge of Reason up at her blog. Complete with a nifty blurb from that dang American Tolkien dude. He’s everywhere these […]

I’m still pinching myself.

Way to go, kiddo! Most cool. Is that a Doré?
Has a rather … best-sellerish … look to me.
Fingers crossed.

Lovely cover.
So Jesus got an identity crisis? Small wonder after what the different Churches did to him.
