Just so you know, some of us are very delighted by these stories, and jealous. I've seen the picture of this magnificent horse. I ooze envy.

And the stories about writing and pitching are great too.

I like your horse stories, Melinda!

One of my favorite Rosie stories: I let her out in the pasture to graze by herself (she didn't play well with others). Then I sat down to lean up by a fencepost and read a book. Well, 15 minutes later, Rosie looked around and couldn't see me. She started doing that loud, "holy cow where did everyone go?!" trumpeting whinny that they do. So I stood up and said, "I'm right here!" She _ran_ over to me at a full gallop, stopped right in front of me, huffed, and went back to grazing.

That was when I knew I was part of her herd. :)

I'm in horse withdrawal. I was having Schleese make some adjustments to my saddle, and I expected it back on Saturday. No saddle. No saddle today either, and so I haven't been able to ride him for days. I'm praying it turns up tomorrow. If not I'm going to borrow this woman's saddle who owns this big, sweet Friesen. Unfortunately she has super long stirrup leathers so I have to do the leathers loop, which is not a lot of fun.
